DBMS Project on Wildlife Sanctuary Management System

The project, Wildlife Sanctuary Management System is a web based application which is easy to access and user friendly. The application uses HTML for front-end display, PHP scripting language for interacting with database, MongoDB Database to store data regarding products and users behavior and EasyPHP Server.

The purpose of this application is for smooth administration and to get a brief idea of overall expenses and profit the sanctuary deals with. The application keeps a backup of the tourist data which includes their ticket details, the fare they pay and the donations they make out of good heart for the welfare of wild animals and different initiatives.

The application is fully optimized shopping website where it can  handle images, tourist data, animal data, feed cost, staff salary, expenditure and is in normalized form.

DBMS Project on Online Shopping Management System

The project, Online Shopping Management System is a web-based application that sells products to customers in very easy and convenient way. The application uses HTML for front-end display, PHP scripting language for interacting with database, MongoDB Database to store data regarding products and users behavior and EasyPHP Server.

The application can be used by two kinds of people like manager to manage the products, their prices, photos, etc. and customer to buy products. The application gives the managers powers like remove products, add products, update product, change price, stocks, descriptions and much more while the customers get the power of buying the products, getting the total amount of purchase and billing.

The application is fully optimized shopping website where it can  handle images, total amount of purchase, billing, description, title, price, add to cart, order delivery records, stocks remaining and in normalized form.

DBMS Mini Project Hardware Store Management System

Software Used:

Procedure / Steps to configure project:

  • Download the XAMPP and install and run MySQL and PHPMyAdmin.
  • Download the Source Code(given below) and extract the .rar file.
  • Copy the Source Folder in XAMPP -> htdocs.
  • In browser type -> http://localhost/phpmyadmin and create the following DATABASE in PHPMyAdmin

Create database named hardwarestore

  1. In hardwarestore -> create table as cart -> in cart create column as p_id as primary key.
  2. In hardwarestore -> create table as product-> in product create column as product_id as primary key, product_title, product_img, product_desc, product_stock, product_price.
  3. In hardwarestore -> create table as users -> in users create column as uid as primary key,name, email, password.
  4. Now in your browser type -> http://localhost/hardwarestore where main.php is the homepage where you can edit, add, delete, and update the products.

Note: Remember you can edit your project files in Folder -> XAMPP -> htdocs -> hardwarestore

Social Media Application using JSP, JAVA, MySQL

The JSP project is based on Social Media websites like Facebook, Twitter where user can post, comment, make friends and express their feeling. The project is build upon JSP, Servlet, Java, MySQL, Tomcat Server, HTML and BootStrap. The Student can modify the project with their own ideas to meet their requirements. 

The project working is like where we can send Post, Comment on Post, Send Friend request, Delete user where it has the ability to automatically delete all the posts, comments, friend requests of the delete user.

Software Required:

The project is made using Eclipse IDE and MySQL Server. Following are the requirements.

  4. TomCat Server

Steps:
Download the Project and extract it.

  1. The in Eclipse File-> New -> Dynamic Web Project.
  2. Select the target runt me as Tomcat Folder and keep the Dynamic web module version as 3.0
  3. Copy the files as per Folders given in project.
  4. Download and Copy the JAR file in WEB-INF -> lib folder.
Tips for errors:
  1. Make sure that Apache Tomcat server in check in eclipse Properties -> Targeted Runtime
  2. Change Build Path JRE System Library in Properties -> Java Build Path
  3. Import the packages

BE Project on Attendance System using Virtual Beacon

I would like to share my BE Final Year IT Project. The Project is based on Attendance System using Virtual Software Beacon. This project was made in 2017-18 for Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Information Technology.

Project Name : Attendance System Using Virtual Beacon

Abstract :  Bluetooth Smart Low Energy Beacon is a wireless technology aimed at innovative applications in tracking the user. The technology makes use of electronic tags to facilitate automatic wireless identification, with a Bluetooth Smart Low Energy Beacon enabled device. We are attempting to solve the problem of attendance monitoring using a Bluetooth Low Energy Beacon. This application of Bluetooth Smart Low Energy Beacon to student attendance improves the time taken during manual attendance and human errors and provides administrators the statistics of attendance scores for use in further managerial decisions using their own personal Android devices. This system solves the problem with the conventional system that it took a long time for all the students to sign on attendance sheet and manual entering of data for teachers/ professors. In order to spoil cheating students who try to register their attendance illegally from outside the classroom, we employ a Virtual Beacon device to transmit a magic number necessary for proper registration within the classroom and store data using Android Devices.

Advantages :

  • In our project the teachers wont have to maintain the traditional papers on which the attendance used to be taken as the data of the students is maintained on the private server.
  • In addition the teachers wont have to make a separate defaulters list by calculating attendance of each and every student.
  • This project will avoid the disturbance caused while passing on the attendance sheet as well as it would consume less time.
  • The defaulters parents will get an e-mail regarding the attendance.
  • It does not require any additional hardware just the students mobile phone.
 
Disadvantages : 
  • Every student must be having an android smartphone.
  • Proxy is one big disadvantage of our project as the student may carry his friends phone to college.
  • If the students phone runs out of battery the teacher will then manually have to update the attendance.
 
Conclusion : Student Attendance Management System using Bluetooth Low Energy, Web-based Management and Android Devices is developed using many softwares like Android SDK , Netbeans
IDE, MySQL, WordPress,etc. The system eventually reaches a stable state where all the bugs are eliminated. It operates at the highest efficiency and all the teachers and users associated with the system understands its advantage. The system solves the intended problem as per requirements. Thus reducing the human effort which was a time consuming process this project has endless advantages over the traditional attendance management system and a better future scope.
 
Future Scope : Paper Attendance can be improvised by using many techniques ,using beacon was one of the technique.Functionalities can be added or improvised in attendance management using BLE Beacon can be:
  • For proxy avoidance live photo of student is taken which is then compared with the photo in database but using more advanced algorithm(image processing alogirthhm) results can be achieved more accurate.
  • The range of bluetooth can be restricted to a limited extend as per the requirement.
